Alijah (AJ) is a very outgoing boy.  There is a side to him that likes to please adults and he responds well to positive attention. AJ is currently struggling in school with his behaviors.   He is very smart and can get good grades when he applies himself.  He is in counseling as he works through his issues of loss and separation.  It is hoped with all the supports he has in place that his behaviors at school improve soon.

Birthdate: September 2015

Michael is an outgoing child who loves all things outdoors. He loves to play sports, go camping, and swim. Michael is very outgoing and loves to give hugs. Michael has been diagnosed with developmental delays and receives extra help in school. Michael sometimes has trouble getting along with others.

My’Kaisha is kind and can be funny. She enjoys being on her phone, hanging with friends, and doing hair. My’Kaisha likes to work and has worked at both Burger King and Wendy’s. My’Kaisha is a great advocate for herself, and receives accommodations in school to help her be successful. She is very close with her maternal great grandmother and would like to continue that relationship.

Phoenix is a young man who exudes confidence and is very respectful. He is well mannered and bright. Phoenix has many talents. He plays guitar and is self-taught. Riley

Riley is a handsome one year old male toddler. He is shy and bashful around strangers until he feels safe and comfortable. Riley loves to explore, play with his toys and be active.  He has had one placement since coming into care.  Riley is loving, affectionate, happy, well adjusted, and able to form bonds/ attachments.  Riley has had been in his only placement since his discharge from the hospital.

Sam is a young teen who loves playing with his die-cast metal and toy cars, trains, and planes as well as other children’s toys. He likes Spiderman and other superheroes. Sam likes playing with army men, remote control cars/trucks, building blocks, and games on a Game Boy or other hand-held device. He enjoys coloring and doing other various art type projects. He enjoys cartoons and movies. He typically has a very hearty appetite. Sam is a young man who benefits from a higher degree of supervising and caring, supportive nurturance and oversight.

Sensashon

Birthdate: January 2013

Sensashon is fairly outgoing and a personable girl. She is polite and overall, generally happy. She likes to listen to music, is creative, and artistic and likes reading books about National Parks, and coloring. She is talkative and seemingly insightful. Sensashon has made great strides with her behaviors in school. She is in counseling, as she works on her self-regulation of her emotions. At times, Sensashon has difficulty getting along with her peers and listening to adults. Though she struggles to manage her behaviors due to past trauma, she does try to do well. Sensashon would benefit from ongoing counseling so she can continue to address her past trauma. She would thrive in a family that is willing to work closely with her treatment team, as well as a family that can provide a structured environment.

Birthdate: May 2020

Simon is a sweet child who is inquisitive of everything around him. He loves to spin toys and enjoys ones that light best. He is not able to verbalize his emotions or feelings so sometimes it comes out in behaviors. When Simon is having a good day, he loves to play, work on his crawling/walking skills and sitting outside on the screened in porch while playing with cars or watching the nature around him.

Simon is in need of a family that can provide him with a structured and active home that will support and engage him in therapies and be proactive in his medical and supportive services.

Sire is very smart, full of energy, and has a wonderful smile. He likes spicy foods, listening to music and playing games on his tablet. Sire is very curious and pays close attention to details about his surroundings and how things work.

Sire is diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal, but he is working hard to communicate and express himself through the use of picture boards and a communication device. Sire is loving in nature and requires a caretaker who can provide him a lot of attention, structure and patience. He is currently in a setting that specializes in meeting his needs and attends school through this program as well.

Summer

Summer is a talkative, likeable, and strong-minded girl. She is very smart and does well academically. She enjoys outdoor activities such as roller blading, bike riding, and swimming, as well as playing games on her Nintendo switch. She is the middle child of a sibling group of 5 that have been placed and adopted separately. She would benefit from being able to stay in contact with them.

Summer is in counseling to address past trauma, and will do best with a family that is flexible and allows her to express her opinions and make her own decisions.

Trinity is a very happy and energetic girl. She is always on-the-move and in constant motion. Her smile lights up a room, dimples and all, and she loves watching various cartoons on TV but also playing with her twin brother. Xaniyah is an outgoing child with a smile that lights up the room.  She is helpful and caring. Xaniyah enjoys doing hair, writing, and any kind of crafts. She enjoys school and works hard. Xaniyah is currently in therapy to help her deal with past traumas, and this will need to continue.

Xy’Khye is a quiet boy until you get to know him, and then he has a lot to say! Xy’Khye is very active, and he likes participating in karate. He also enjoys any other sport, remote control cars, and playing with friends. Xy’Khye has made great strides with his behaviors in school, and he continues to work on regulating his emotions. Xy’Khye is currently receiving counseling, and this service will need to continue.

Xaniyah and Xy’Khye are currently placed separately, but they would love to be placed together. They would benefit from an active family who provides structure and routine.

He is a strong advocate for his own needs and does not hesitate to verbalize what he feels he needs to succeed in life. He struggles with his behaviors and grades in school, but is capable of earning good grades.

Za’Lisa, Janessa, & Za’Leyah

Za’Lisa is curious and playful. When she is not practicing tumbling moves, she like to listen to music, watch dance videos, and dance. She loves new experiences, and works hard to do well in school.

Janessa is bright, energetic, and happy. She loves art and drawing and all types of challenging games. She also does well in school and responds best to one-on-one attention.

Za’Leyah is joyful and affectionate. She enjoys drawing, crafts, nature, and playing outside.

Zy’lan

Birthdate:  January 2010

Zy’lan is an active teenage who loves to play video games and shoot hoops. He likes Legos and Professional Wrestling.  Zy’lan is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, and receives ongoing speech, OT and PT to allow him to have as much use of his leg and hand/arm as possible. He is very independent and can do all of his basic hygiene for himself, although he requires reminders to get this done.  Zy’lan enjoys going to school and does well in the educational setting.
