Birthdate: JULY 2002

Ah'Sah and Jah are adorable and lovable twins. They were born with neurofibromatosis. This is a genetic disorder of the nervous system that primarily affects the development and growth of neural cell tissues. These disorders cause tumors to grow on nerves and produce other abnormalities such as skin changes and bone deformities, as well as large moles on the skin. Jah and Ah'Sah have some speech delays, Jah more noticeable than Ah'Sah. However, Ah'Sah’s favorite pastime is to talk. Jah has had reoccurring ear infections. Both children are happy and outgoing. They like listening to hip hop music and going to the park. They both enjoy watching Dora. Like most kids, their favorite foods are pizza, macaroni and cheese and hot dogs.
Ah'Sah and Jah need a home, which can provide good structure and routine, because this is the kind of environment, where they have made significant progress developmentally and behaviorally and thrived. They would do best in a home, which would give them an opportunity to have fun, like building a snowman or going sledding.

Courtney
Birthdate: May 1994

Fashion Diva just may be the word to describe this fun-loving and friendly pre-teen! Courtney is typical of girls her age...she loves to talk on the phone, sing along with her favorite music and rap artists, hang out with her friends, and experiment with clothes and make-up. As the only female foster child in her home, she often craves the time and attention of her foster mother.

Courtney has lost a lot of important people in her life by way of many circumstances. This has caused her to be critical of others "promises" and most have to earn her trust and respect. She has fended for herself for many years and often has trouble being the child. Her forthright manner and direct style of communication is often mistaken for disrespect and insubordination! Expect to work diligently with the school regarding following through with assignments and improving relationships with teachers and peers as this has been a trouble spot for her. Patience and understanding is vital in working with this young lady.

The family interested in placement of Courtney's must be open to allowing her continued contact with those relationships from her past that have withstood the test of time.

If you have the energy and drive needed to keep up with this on the go girl, we would love to hear from you!
